Mikey from @mbbladeworks forging a cobra at our local Hammer In! This was such a great idea that Rob had and it was a blast. Forging something like this was new for all of us, so we all tried different things and figured it out. Here Mikey is using a swage block to support the body of the snake as he rounds it over. Semi spherical . I’m forging up a semi spherical swage block and a semi cylindrical for a customer in Switzerland. These go in/on the anvil for forging work in. Dishing , rounding, sinking are just a couple things you can use the 2” , 1.5” and 1” half spherical depressions for. These are forged from 4140 and will have a 1” square shank welded to them. All forged from 2.25” round stock on the vintage Alldays and onions air hammer . @frontstepforge in Edmonton Canada https://frontstepforge.com/sea
