Anthony Edwards banked in a go-ahead, 3-foot runner with 16.8 seconds and the Minnesota Timberwolves overcame a 19-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 104-103 on Sunday night.

The Frenchman scored 16 of his 21 in the second half, including a game-sealing jumper with 19.1 seconds left, to lead the Spurs past Boston 100-95 on Saturday.

The Celtics attempted just four free throws in the game. Brown, their leading scorer and most aggressive player around the rim, did not take any.

Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs received positive news on Jan. 1. The Spurs star suffered a leg injury during the 134-132 victory over the New York Knicks on Dec. 31. Wembanyama’s MRI came back clean with no sign of ligament damage, according to ESPN.
