Thousands of people gathered Sunday morning at River Park Shopping Center near Blackstone and Nees avenues in Fresno to protest the killing of Renee Nicole Good, a mother and U.S. citizen, in Minneapolis — a death that demonstrators said should never have occurred.

Members of Congress, including some Republicans, are considering possible consequences for ICE and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after an ICE officer shot Renee Nicole Good to death in Minnesota.

Renee Nicole Good, 37, was shot and killed by an ICE officer in Minneapolis on Jan. 7, 2026. Ross, 43, joined ICE in 2015 and has spent the last 10 years as a deportation officer in Minnesota. The 37-year-old was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Wednesday.

Credible videos of the shooting showed the wheels of Good's car were turned away from the agent when she moved forward and he shot her.

ABC News reported that Good suffered gunshot wounds to the head, citing city officials. She was then transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the outlet.

A GoFundMe campaign created to support the family of the Minneapolis woman killed by an ICE agent on Jan. 7 was closed Jan. 9 at $1.5 million.
