Michigan bolsters trenches, defense with two new portal commits
Though the Wolverines have lost some players, including defensive backs Tevis and TJ Metcalf, the maize and blue have been gaining momentum with others. They had three additions on Sunday and persuaded safety Jordan Young to withdraw from the portal about a week after he entered.
Other QBs who are either in the portal or have already transferred include: Sam Leavitt (Arizona State), Dylan Raiola (Nebraska) and Drew Mestemaker (transferring from North Texas to Oklahoma State), all of whom will surely be getting a big payday from their new school.
Jayden Sanders, who started two games for the Wolverines as a true freshman in 2025, committed to Notre Dame on Monday.
